Activities continue to promote sustainability and social innovation in Latin America
The commitment of the HEADCET – Erasmus+ project continues with a series of initiatives carried out in various Latin American countries, aimed at strengthening the transition towards circular economy and social innovation within both university and local community contexts across the partner institutions.
Recent highlights include:
Paraguay: The Universidad Nacional de Itapúa (UNI) launched working groups with local stakeholders to foster sustainable development and cross-sector collaboration.
Chile: The Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) hosted a roundtable with experts in circular economy and social innovation, as part of the HEADCET Local Collaborative Labs.
Argentina: The Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCUYO) organized public events on textile circularity and a guest lecture by a Brazilian expert on organic waste management, promoting dialogue between academia, businesses, social collectives, and local institutions. Meanwhile, the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ) launched the postgraduate course “Economy–Fashion–Ecology: From the Ephemeral to the Circular Economy,” which explored the relationship between economy, design, and sustainability.
HEADCET continues to serve as a platform for dialogue and co-design between universities and communities, addressing today’s challenges with shared vision and responsibility.
